Solar Lights

Electricity is unavailable or unreliable in many places where ICCM serves. Locations of extreme poverty and regions of frequent conflict often do not have the infrastructure to support commercial or public power. Some communities, like Baraka in the DRC, are home to hundred of thousands without access to commercial electricity. As a result, kids are limited to daylight hours for reading, homework, and study. A solar light provides valuable, tangible support, allowing a child to read after dark.
